Software made by public servants, for public servants

One(Place) is built by Good Local Gov — people who have actually done the job. We’ve sat at the planning counter, run the council agenda, chased the records request, walked the field inspection, and watched institutional knowledge walk out the door at retirement.

“The software is the car. The staff member is the driver. One(Place) does not drive for them — it makes every journey easier, faster, and more worth taking.”

What we’re building

A connected workspace for local government. Six surfaces, every day: Today, OneBox, Planner, The Office, File Cabinet, Insights. The work arrives already organized. AI works in the background as tools under your control. The decision is always yours.

Why a grove?

Our brand metaphors are Old Tjikko — a 9,500-year-old spruce — and Pando, an aspen grove in Utah that is a single organism connected underground, one of the oldest and largest living things on Earth. Interconnected. Enduring. Quietly powerful. That’s how good government works when it works: many people, one root system.

Our commitments

Zero advertising, ever. Zero individual data sales, ever. Tenant isolation enforced at the database. Every state change on the audit record. Three residency tiers — managed cloud today; on-prem and client-held-key options with pilot deployment. Provider-agnostic AI architecture, so you’re never locked to one model vendor. The full list lives on the trust page.
